We are now able to offer our 3in1 Goat Milk Cream and Lotion Concentrated Base! Now you have the versitality of making creams, lotions and lotion mists with just one base. The biggest concern was the amount of preservative that needed to be used to cover that. Our 3in1 Base contains 2.88% paraben-free germall plus liquid perservative. According to the folks who created Germall Plus (ISP Corp.), the recommended percent of Germall Plus in cosmetic products is .1 to .5% to effectively preserve the cosmetic product (considering that sanitary measures are taken when making your products). Because our 3in1 base contains Goat Milk, we opt for the medium/high levels. Germall Plus has also been scientifically proven in lab tests to show no adverse skin irritations when using up to 5% of Germall Plus in cosmetic products. When diluting our 3in1 base to create your cosmetic products, it is important that you have a sanitary work environment. The percent of Germall Plus in our 3in1 is effective for the dilution rates below. If lotion mist is made from this base, you will need to add additional Germall Plus liquid preservative, at 1 Tablespoon per gallon, at 4oz. 3in1 base per 1 gallon boiled distilled water.

This is an very easy base to work with! These bases are incredibly mild. However, we do recommend that our 3in1 concentrates be diluted to at least the cream stage - any thicker than that could possibly cause skin irritation.

Mix HOT boiled distilled water with base, using a mixer or stick blender (that works great), mixing well. It will thicken as it cools, sometimes letting it set overnight. Scent as usual, per directions on our "How to DO it" page.

Use caution when working with very hot water!

Dilution Ratios:

To make Cream = 1 lb. base to 7-8 cups HOT Boiled Distilled Water (approx. .58% preservative level)

To make a medium Lotion = 1lb. base to 13-16 cups HOT Boiled Distilled Water (approx. .29% preservative level)

To make Lotion Mist = 4oz. base to 1 Gallon HOT Boiled Distilled Water (add 1 Tablespoon Germall Plus Liquid) (without 1Tbs.preservative, .04% preservative level - with 1Tbs. extra preservative, .4% preservative level.

Be sure and use clean, sanitary utensils and containers!

3in1 will last over a year undiluted, and 6 months in it's diluted state.
